Deadly Shootout at Home Possibly Gang Related

Inside this blue home on 18th Street Sacramento investigators are sorting through the remains of a grisly shootout.
A man, armed with a handgun, entered the home around 10:40 p.m. Saturday and began firing. His bullets hit three people inside the home, but the chaos wasn't finished.
“There was another person inside the house, he heard the commotion, so he came out, confronted that suspect and they exchanged gunfire,” said Sacramento Police Officer Michelle Gigante. When the bullets stopped flying, the suspect was dead, along with three others inside.
Dispatchers initially described the call as a "home invasion," though detectives are backing off that statement tonight.
"We're not exactly sure, exactly what it is at this point. It could be anything," Gigante said.
Outside the home, a crowd of people from the Hmong community gathered all day Sunday, lining 18th Street, mourning people who are described as spiritual leaders -- or shamans -- in the Hmong community.
Neighbors tell FOX40 that the homeowner, Ku Yang, has lived in the neighborhood less than a year.
“They're new. They're not here for a long time. That's all I know,” said neighbor Jose Aguilera.
Involvement seems to be the question. Detectives are saying it's gang related, though three of the four dead are in their 50's.
"At this point, as part of the investigation, there doesn't seem to be any type of forced entry," Gigante said.
Though, Lu Vang, a relative of one of the deceased, is unsure about that.
“It's sad to see something like this happen to an elderly couple. It's really shocking. Things like that shouldn't happen to older people,” Vang said.
In total, the shooting claimed the lives of two men in their 50’s, another man in his 20’s, and a woman in her 50’s. Another resident of the home was shot and is in critical condition.
